Who can register a CN domain?

Just recently, starting in December 2009, CNNIC, the CN central registry is only allowing organizations and businesses to register .CN domains. They have also implemented an audit process, where each registrant is required to fill out a CNNIC audit form. In addition, the registrant needs to provide proof of business and identity to match with their WHOIS contact record name and organization details.

Newly registered .CN domains will not resolve until CNNIC approves the registrant's audit form information.

最近網中接獲台商客戶詢問註冊.CN域名是否須繳交中、英文版的公司營業登記證(或事項登記卡)？

經了解，由於國內其他業者為非直接取得CNNIC授權的頂級註冊商，而是透過國外註冊商向CNNIC提交的二級代理商(俗稱：頂級註冊商旗下的經銷商)，當台商客戶透過這些國內代理商申請.cn域名時，代理商及國外註冊商可能只會將客戶的英文公司資料送至CNNIC註冊，因此，造成台商客戶所提交的台灣政府核發的中文版-公司營業登記證(或事項登記卡)，會與系統送的英文公司資料不符而遭CNNIC退件，並取消其登記。

在此，網中向版友及網中客戶說明『網路中文為CNNIC在台灣唯一授權的代理註冊機構，客戶在網中登記的.CN域名，僅需提供台灣政府核發的中文版-公司營業登記證(或事項登記卡)』，無需將公司證件由中文版翻譯為英文後，在向各地市府公證。
